The invention relates to a heat exchange wall (1) for transferring heat from a first medium (2) on one side of the wall (1) to a second medium (3), which is to be evaporated, on the other side of the wall (1). This other side is provided with integral, aligned distributing grooves (6) for distributing the liquid phase of the second medium (3). Effective distribution of the liquid on the surface of the heat exchange wall (1) and at the same time effective evaporating properties are guaranteed according to the invention by the following features: a) the distributing grooves (6) intersect with channels (4) of pitch t situated therebelow, b) the distributing grooves (6) are formed from laterally displaced material of the channel walls (5), the depth T of the distributing grooves (6) being approximately between 30 and 90% of the channel depth h, and c) the distributing grooves (6) being connected to the channels (4) via overflows (7) and/or openings (8) in the distributing grooves (6).
