PURPOSE:To form a cyan image having superior color developability, light and heat resistances and recolorability by incorporating a specified cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION:This silver halide photographic sensitive material contains a cyan coupler represented by the formula (where R1 is 2-4C alkyl, R2 is H or 1-16C alkyl, R3 is H or 1-4C alkyl, X is halogen, alkoxy or aryloxy and n=1 or 2). In order to incorporate the cyan coupler into a silver halide emulsion layer, the cyan coupler combined optionally with other coupler is dissolved in an org. solvent having >=175 deg.C high b.p. such as tricresyl phosphate, a solvent having a low b.p. such as butyl acetate or butyl propionate or a mixture thereof, the resulting soln. is mixed with aqn aqueous gelatin soln. contg. a surfactant and the mixture is added to silver halide after emulsification with a mixer rotating at a high speed or a colloid mill. |
