PURPOSE:To make it possible for a toner to form an image having high image quality because the toner is made practically of particles having a small particle diameter and to effectively solve the problem of flowability and cleanability peculiar to such a toner having a small particle diameter by regulating the roundness of the particles to a certain range. CONSTITUTION:This toner for an electrostatic charge image is a toner contg. a colorant and an electric charge controlling agent in a resin for fixation and has 6-10mum average particle diameter and a particle size distribution in which particles having <=5mum account for <=3% and particles having >=20mum account for <=2% when this toner is measured with 'Coulater(R)' a counter. The average roundness of all the particles is within the range of 0.87-0.93.
