摘要 PURPOSE: To separate a mixture composed of two different fluid phases by applying centrifugal and gravitational forces to the stream of the mixed fluid phases to form the stream of the phase of a top layer having a low density and the phase of a bottom layer having a high density and introducing this stream so as to allow the phase of the top layer to flow into a first chamber and the phase of the bottom layer into a second chamber. CONSTITUTION: The stream of gas carrying solid is ejected onto a deflector 17 from a conduit 12, by which the flow is made into a radially horizontal stream and the centrifugal and gravitational forces are applied thereto to separate the mixed phases to the steam substantially having the top layer and the bottom layer. The top layer is a gaseous phase having the relatively low density and the bottom layer is a gaseous phase having the relatively high density. The phase having the high density is directed toward a downward baffle ring 25 by a fluid-dynamically sealing ring 21 and the solid is made to flow out to an annular solid riser 27 and to gather therein and is then discharged from an outlet 14. The gas is introduced through an annular opening 24 to an upper compartment 30. The phase of the low density is introduced upward by a baffle 20 and is gathered to a separating compartment 30 and is separated together with the gas of the phase having the high density through a conduit 16.
