PURPOSE:To provide an oiliness agent composition capable of being uniformly stuck to synthetic fibers under high speed travel and of manifesting an excellent fiber-producing property, which composition comprises a specific compound, a leveling agent, an emulsifier, etc. CONSTITUTION:The oiliness composition for fibers comprises 1-60wt.% of a compound of the formula (R is 1-7C hydrocarbon; m, n are 1-9; m+n=2-10; PO is propylene oxide; EO is ethylene oxide; when EO and PO are used in a mixed state, either of random addition and block addition may be used), especially a compound of formula wherein R is 1-3C alkyl; m+n=2-8; m is 2-5; n is 0; 20-70wt.% of a leveling agent, 20-70wt.% of an emulsifier, etc. The composition is prepared in the form of an aqueous emulsion, applied to fibers in a spinning process, uniformly stuck to the fibers under the high speed spinning of the fibers, reduces the number of generated fuzzes, and exhibits an excellent fiber-producing property. Examples of leveling agent include a mineral oil, a natural fat or oil, and a synthetic ester, and those of the emulsifier include oleylalcohol ethylene oxide adduct. The composition is particularly suitable for spin-draw spinning. |
