摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the utilization efficiency of an automatically guided vehicle traveling along a guide line. CONSTITUTION:Virtual block positions for optionally dividing a guide line 13 are set up on the line 13. At the time of arriving at a 1st virtual block position detected by a position detector 20, each automatically guided vehicle 12 transmits a traveling availability inquiring signal including its own identification (ID) number information and traveling position information to a fixed station 11. The station 11 receiving the inquiring signal confirms that another automatically guided vehicle is not present on a 2nd block position adjacent to a 1st block position and then transmits a traveling permission signal to the automatically guided vehicle. The automatically guided vehicle receiving the traveling permission signal continues its traveling and transmits a pass signal to the station 11 at the time of passing the 2nd block. When the traveling permission signal is not received, the vehicle stops on a boundary part between the 1st and 2nd blocks.
