A lift (2) is mounted on a railway wagon (1) and can be rotated (4,5) by a crown wheel (3). This crown wheel, chassis (6) mounted, can slide in grooves (7,8), perpendicular to the rails (9), on the wagon platform. The grooved sections are detachable from the wagon. Detachable support stands may rest on the ground for stability, the wagon being rigid, without shock absorbers. The two grooves may be of "H" form, fixed flat across the wagon platform, with two inverted "U" grooves sliding over them, on rollers between the two sets of grooves.
