PURPOSE:To provide a machine translation system capable of performing than heretofore. translation more naturally CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with modules 11, 12 which generate a structural analysis tree by analyzing a text of source language, memory 18 which stores a rule to convert the structural analysis tree to that of target language, a module 13 which converts the structural analysis tree of the source language to that of the target language by referring to the memory 18, a module 21 to detect a word which satisfies a condition decided in advance in the structural analysis tree of the target language, and a module 22 which prepares the text of the target language by eliminating a detected word based on the structural analysis tree of the target language. |
