<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to cut a terminal even in a stranded cable by interlocking a cutter mounted to one or the other of a pair of holding bodies with a contact plate detecting uneveness on the front of a conductor to move it in the direction of the diameter. CONSTITUTION:A cable 1 is held between a pair of front view C-shaped holding bodies 8 and 9, and a cutter 14 is mounted to the holding body 8 by a maintaining section 13. A plurality of guide levers 10 are provided between the holding bodies 8 and 9, one end of the cable is fixed to the holding body 8, the other end thereof turns a small handle 29 of the holding body 9, and an interval between the holding bodies 8 and 9 is controlled. Guide rollers 17 are pivoted in a storing state in recessions 16 provided to surfaces opposed to the holding bodies 8 and 9, and a contact plate 60 is mounted to a guide lever 46 maintaining the cutter 14. When uneveness of a core of the cable 1 is detected by the contact plate 60, the cutter 14 goes in and out in the direction of the diameter in accordance with output of the contact plate 60. According to the constitution, even if the cable 1 is formed of a stranded cable of thick cores, step stripping of the terminal is accurately made by the cutter 14.</p> |
