PURPOSE:To instantaneously comply with the request of a subscriber in a video data transmission state and also to enable the subscribed to reproduce the received video data at an optional time by receiving and storing the compressed video data and reading out these stored data to convert them into the analog video signal after thawing and expansion of the data. CONSTITUTION:The requested video data are received by a receiver terminal 3 via a receiver antenna 9 and a tuner 10 and decoded by a signal processing part 11. Then a CPU 12 writes the video data in a compressed data storing memory 15. When this writing operation is complete, the end of writing of the data is shown on a display 16. Then a user operates a control panel 17. Thus the CPU 12 reads out the compressed data and also thaws the compression to restore the video data. These restored data are supplied to a signal processing part 13, and the analog video signals are reproduced and supplied to an external TV which reproduces the animation.
