The atomiser consists of a container (2) for the liquid being distributed, a distribution head (6), and a flexible plunger tube (11) which is connected to the head and has a weight (14) on its end to allow the atomiser to be used in various positions, including upside down.The flexible plunger tube is connected to the head by a length of rigid tube (12) which extends from the head to a point half way down the container, and the length of the flexible tube is sufficient for its weighted end to reach the bottom of the container, whatever its position, while remaining short enough to prevent it becoming kinked or knotted.The length of the flexible tube is just over half the length of the container, e.g. in the order of 0.6 times the length, and its weight (14) is made from a material which is denser than the liquid being sprayed, such as a metal which is sufficiently inert in relation to the liquid in the container as to not alter its composition. |
