PURPOSE:To provide a dichroic heat-sensitive recording material having the coboration components coloured by heating, each not decoloured and decoloured by volatile carboxylic acid, and volatile carboxylic acid; making the different modes of colouration depending on heating temperature; and capable of forming clearly- coloured images. CONSTITUTION:(a) A high-temperature sensitive colouration layer having such a heat sensitive colouration component coloured by heating and not decoloured by volatile carboxylic acid as obtained by combining triphenylmethane series transparent basic dye and a phenolic material and (b) a low-temperature heat-sensitive colouration layer having such a heat-sensitive colouration component coloured by heating and decloured by volatile carboxylic acid as obtained by combining 4- dimethyl aminobenzenediazomium chloride-zinc chloride double salt and 2-methylresorcinol are formed on a support such as paper, synthetic resin and metallic plate used as diazo photo-sensitive material. To an intermediate layer provided between the colouration layers (a) and (b) is added a carboxylic acid such as malonic acid volatile only when heated to high temperatures. |
