摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve an efficient wavelength conversion and light transmission without being affected by surrounding electromagnetic field, induction noise, etc., without requiring a power supply. CONSTITUTION:A luminous wavelength converter 20 is provided with an edge plug part 21, a cylindrical scintillator which is enclosed inside a casing where a reflection material is coated on an outer-periphery surface, a fluorescent optical fiber 23 whose one edge is inserted into the center axis part, and a scintillator housing. A light reflection material is coated on the outer-periphery surface of the scintillator 22 or a rubber with a reflection shielding enclosed in a translucent member 29. Therefore, in the converter 20. the scintillator 22 is in cylindrical shape and emission of the center axis part is reflected by the surrounding reflection material and then is focused efficiently at the center axis. When radiant rays enter and then the scintillator 22 emits light, the light enters a core from the clad surface of the side periphery of the optical fiber 23 and is converted to that with a long wavelength efficiently by the luminous excitation and wavelength conversion function of the optical fiber 23 and then is output to the output edge side with an optical connector 28.
