PURPOSE:To enable a heat to remain in a transfer material, to prevent the moisture adsorption of the transfer material and to eliminate troubles following the moisture adsorption by providing an air-flow path between a fixing device and a transfer material storing part and providing a means for sending air from the fixing device to the transfer material storing part and a means for controlling the aforesaid means. CONSTITUTION:As to the fixing device 16, a pressure roller 38 is brought into press- contact with a fixing roller 31 provided with a halogen heater 32 which is arranged at the inside of a hollow cylindrical metal pipe as a heat source, and the transfer material is fixed by heat and pressure at the nip part of both rollers 31 and 38. The hot air in the fixing device 16 is made to pass through the air-flow path 18 under the fixing device 16 by an air sending means 17 installed under the fixing device 16, and then, the hot air is transmitted to a cassette 13 where the transfer material is stored. A louver is installed on the trailing end of the cassette 13 so as to efficiently take in the hot air. The air sending means 17 is controlled so as to be in an air sending state at a standby time, and the means 17 is controlled in a stop state at a warm-up time. And also, whether or not the air should be sent is judged basing on the mode, when it is in copying. |
