PURPOSE:To obtain the drum of less eccentricity of cylindrical surface with respect to the drum axial center by forming the drum to the integral construction comprising firmly securing the drum shaft body, drum side plates and cylinder through press fitting with each other. CONSTITUTION:The first drum side plate 10b is secured by press fitting to the first columnar part 1a of the drum shaft 1 formed with the first, second columnar parts 1a, 1b and a collar 1c by machining. One end of a cylinder 10a is secured by press fitting to the side edge of this side plate 10b. At this time, the collar 1c supports the side plate 10b. Next, the second side plate 10c is secured by press fitting to the other end of the second columnar part 1b and cylinder 10a, after which both ends of the drum shaft 1 are chucked and the surfaces of the coupling parts of the shaft 1 to bearings 41, 42 and the surface of the cylinder 10a are smooth finished with high accuracy, thence a photosensitive layer or dielectric layer is laminated on the cylinder surface. Thereby, the drum of the less eccentricity of the cylinder surface with respect to the axial center may be obtained. |
