A process for the preparation of a purified antibody which comprises culturing a cell-line capable of producing an antibody in culture medium, applying the antibody-containing medium to a metal chelate chromatography column so that the antibody binds to the column and then eluting the bound antibody to obtain the desired antibody in selected fractions from the column.
