Result-shifter for control of result decimal point

The electronic digital processing system uses a result register to provide correct positioning of the decimal point. The circuit consists of a number of stages with one (1) being the initial stage and the eighth (8) the target one. Each of the stages consists of four input lines coupled to an OR-gate (1). The OR-gate then connects to a two-input device (2), inverter (3) and AND-gate (4). The four lines connect with a decoder (5). Outputs are used to control the shift register.
