POWER REGENERATION SYSTEM.

A power regeneration system which suppresses distortion of a current regenerated to a power supply. An inverter (3) produces direct current in response to the induced electromotive force occuring during power regeneration, that is, at the time of deceleration of a motor (4). Timing adjustment means (5) outputs a regeneration signal ST at a predetermined timing before the potential of one of the three phases of a power supply voltage, which exhibits the highest potential, becomes equal to the potential of another phase. A convertor (2) converts the inverted direct current to an alternating current on the basis of this regeneration signal ST and regenerates it to the power supply.
