<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality dye-sensitized solar cell by increasing electromotive force and controlling the oxidation reduction potential of sensitized dye. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell has a metal oxide semiconductor electrode having metal oxide particles on which dye is adsorbed, a charge transfer layer, and a counter electrode in order on a conductive substrate, the outermost layer of the metal oxide particle has a conduction band level higher than that of titanium oxide, the dye is represented by formula (1) D-A-K [in the formula (1), D represents a dye residue, A represents a divalent coupling group. and K represents an adsorption group], and energy level of LUMO of the dye is -1.60 to -1.07 eV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
