PURPOSE:To provide a rubber compsn. mainly for use in rubber vibration insulators such as an engine mount, a muffler hanger and a damper in particular, which are used in high-ambient-temp. sites. CONSTITUTION:At least 50 pts. ethylene-propylene polymer is blended with a natural rubber in an amt. smaller than 50 pts. to prepare 100 pts. mixture. A peroxide is used as a crosslinking agent. Carbon black is further used as a reinforcement in an amt. of A pts. wherein A<=0.4X+30 (X is the amt., in terms of pts., of the ethylene-propylene polymer). The resulting rubber compsn. for use in rubber vibration insulators comprises EPDM as the main component, is excellent not only in heat resistance and durability but also in processability during production therefrom of products, and hence is extremely useful in an industrial aspect. |
