<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the rear end of a rolled stock from being drawn excessive ly, to remove a passing accident and to improve the working efficiency and the yield of rolling work by optimizing the draft leveling state of each rolling mull of a tandem rolling mill line in a stationary rolling state. CONSTITUTION:In tandem rolling wherein a metallic sheet is rolled continuously and simultaneously by two rolling mills or more, the rolling loads and the peripheral speeds of the roll on the working side and on the driving side are sampled at the same time, the difference between the left and right tensions of this acting on the rolled stock is estimated based on these data, an operational basic amount for the difference between right and left draft setting values is by using an equation system at the stationary time of tandem rolling to remove the difference between the right and left tensions and the mill is controlled based on this data.</p> |
