DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING PROPULSION MACHINE OF WATER JET PROPULSION BOAT

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent water from entering a recessed part from the circumference of water inlet so as to prevent lowering of propulsion efficiency surely by detecting that a jet propulsion machine floats when it occurs. CONSTITUTION:A recess is formed at the bottom of a boat and in this recess a jet propulsion unit 3 incorporating an inpeller is arranged. At the front side of the recess an engine for driving the impeller is set and the drive shaft 10 of the engine and the impeller shaft are connected to each other through a universal joint. Centering the universal joint the jet propulsion unit 3 is swung and raised. A hydraulic cylinder unit 6 for swinging the unit 3 is arranged and a detection switch 49 for detecting the rise of the unit 3 and a control means for stopping an engine in response to the detection signal thereof are arranged.
