PURPOSE: To clean a exhaust gas and lower the cost of residue treatment by reducing an amount of exhausting ash by gasifying in a gasification reactor, introducing an inflammable gas containing a specific dust, combusting it in a combustion chamber and exhausting a liquid slag and the combustion gas separately. CONSTITUTION: Gasification of a waste material containing inflammable constituents is done in a gasification reactor 1 in the temperature range of 700-100 deg.C. A gas-solid mixture is withdrawn and is separated in a solids separator of a cyclone 10. An inflammable gas containing dust having a carbon content of 30-90 wt.%, a free O2 amount of 1 vol.% at most in the gas, a heating value of about 3,000-6,000 kJ/sm<3> , and a dust containing amount of 5-500 g/sm<3> is withdrawn through a pipe 18 from the cyclone 10, is fed into a combustion chamber 19 and combusted at 1,200-1,900 deg.C. A liquid slag and a combustion gas thereby produced are exhausted separately.
