CATALYST CARRIER FOR PURIFICATION OF EXHAUST GAS

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a mass-productive carrier of a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas by laminating fins of same shape without brazing to form the core of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A laminated body 2 is obtd. by bending and cutting metal plates 7 into offset fins having lots of trapezoid waves and then arranging these fins 1 of same shape in the edge line direction of waves in such a manner that phases of adjacent waves are shifted. Each apperture of trapezoid wave of the offset fin 1 is engaged with the top part of trapezoid wave of the adjacent offset fin 1, and the peripheral of the laminated body 2 is covered with a cylindrical casing 3. The casing 3 and the laminated body 2 is fixed with a fixing means 4.
