PURPOSE:To prepare a peeling agent which can easily peel the fire spread prevention covering from, e.g. the sheath of a wire or a cable made of a synthetic resin or a rubber in a safe fireproofing manner without adverse effects due to swelling and to provide a method for peeling the covering from the sheath. CONSTITUTION:This peeling agent comprises trimethyl phosphate, hydroxyethylcellulose and silicic anhydride. The peeling method comprises applying a peeling agent comprising trimethyl phosphate, hydroxyethylcellulose and silicic anhydride to the fire spread prevention covering and peeling the covering. |
