PURPOSE: To make fuel control possible without need of an airflow sensor by measuring pressure drop in a venturi pipe arranged in an intake passage, and controlling fuel injection at high load while comparing the measured values with preset values. CONSTITUTION: In an engine 50, a combustion chamber 90 is defined by an engine block 62, a piston 78 and a cylinder head 86. And, an intake manifold 94 is installed in a crankcase 66, a throttle 110 is arranged in downstream of a venturi section 106. Furthermore, a fuel injector 122 is installed in the combustion chamber 90, and it is communicated with a fuel source 130 through a pump 134. And an engine controller 150 controls the ignition coil 142 and the fuel injector 122 based on the detected signals of throttle position sensor 158, pressure sensor 166, temperature sensor 162 and engine speed sensor 154.
