<p>The present invention relates to enzyme inhibiting polymer conjugates, preferably a polymer conjugate having formula (I): wherein R is a unit which acts to attenuate the interaction of the saccharin inhibitor component with a target enzyme, L is a linking group; [Poly] is a polymeric unit, i indicates the number of said saccharin units which comprise said conjugate and has the value of from 1 to 100; z is 0 or 1, said polymer conjugates suitable for use in preventing skin irritation resulting from exposure of the skin to body fluids, inter alia, faces menstrual fluid. The conjugates of the present invention are useful in diapers, dressings, sanitary napkins, and the like.</p> |
