A tensioning device for the kinematic chain of, for example, a motor-vehicle electric window, with a nut and a support which are mounted on a cylindrical body equipped with striations, a spring for maintaining the tension in the cable being placed between them. The inside of the support receives a second spring and a bush, on which bush the sheath of the cable acts, this second spring having greater tension than the other one and acting against it. <IMAGE>
