Self-braking wheel of the type used for supermarket trolleys (carts), which is formed by a pair of narrow wheels which rotate freely and between which there is a fixed cylindrical portion connected to the axle and immobilized, the diameter of which is slightly less than that of the wheels contiguous to it, giving rise to the insertion of the wheels in grooves in ramps or stairways, a friction of the floor against the lower part of said cylindrical portion and, consequently, the braking of the trolley on this floor.
