PURPOSE:To control remotely a camera of an opposite party in matching with the movement of an object by using a picture changeover means to select a picture processing means for a picture transmission system when a remote control signal is received. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of a remote control command, a picture changeover means 311a revises a parameter to activate substantially a 2nd picture processing means 342b and throws a switch 342c to the position of the 2nd picture processing means 342b. The 2nd picture processing means 342b revises fetched resolution, that is, applies interleave processing to an original picture. Furthermore, the video telephone set is provided with a driver applying drive control to a camera and controls the direction of the camera, upward/downward movement and focus adjustment or the like based on a remote control signal sent from a destination. Thus, number of sent pictures is increased and the direction and the attitude or the like of the destination video telephone set are remotely controlled and an object is always displayed on a display device. |
