PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic probe suitable for ultrasonic microscope in which transition to a different frequency band can be performed quickly using lenses having different concave curvature. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic probe 8 comprises a plurality of semicylindrical concave lenses 6a-6d having different concave curvature arranged on the objective end face of an ultrasonic transmission medium 1 with the long axes of the lenses being arranged on one normal plane, a plurality of piezoelectric transducers 4 having different thickness disposed on the eye side end face of the medium 1 at positions immediately above concave lenses 6a-6d, respective pairs of electrodes 3, 5 for exciting the piezoelectric transducer 4, and a switch 7 for connecting the electrodes selectively with an exciting electrode. |
