PURPOSE:To provide a display device and a system for controlling it capable of solving the dispersion in chromaticity among respective display units at the time of displaying a mixture of colors by adjusting the luminance of respective colors at every display unit and reducing the color unevenness occurring in a display pannel. CONSTITUTION:These device and system are constituted so that plural pieces of light emitting diodes of red color or green color are provided in the display unit 4, and R, G-DATA causing to emit the light emitting diodes are converted in serial-parallel by shift registers 1a, 1b, and parallel data are outputted to the display unit 4 from buffers 2a, 2b by drivers 3a, 3b, and a setting value deciding the pulse width of a lighting pulse is set by setting value buffers 6a, 6b, and the pulse with the pulse width corresponding to the setting value of the setting value buffers 6a, 6b is outputted to the drivers 8a, 8b by lighting pulse forming parts 5a, 5b, and the lighting pulse according to the pulse width of the inputted pulse is outputted to the display unit 4 by the driver 8a, 8b.
