PURPOSE:To obtain an ion sensor which can be miniaturized easily, effective in the measurement of ion activity of micro quantity measuring liquid, and especially useful for disposable application (e.g. analysis of blood) and in which high accuracy measurement is realized using internal liquid without requiring any attention to the aging of the components of each electrode by injecting the internal liquid at the time of use. CONSTITUTION:An ion selection electrode has a space, into which an internal liquid is injected where an ion-sensitive membrane 6 and inner electrodes 4, 5 oppose to each other while being spaced apart. A reference electrode substitutes the ion-sensitive membrane 6 for a liquid bridge part 7. The ion selection electrode and the reference electrode are employed in the constitution of an ion sensor. When the ion sensor is not used (when it is preserved), no internal liquid exists in the spaces 1, 2. When the ion sensor is used, internal liquid is injected into the spaces 1, 2 where the internal liquid is brought into contact with the ion-sensitive membrane 6 (a liquid bridge part 7) and the inner electrodes 4, 5. |
