PURPOSE:To provide the semiconductor, light noise removing filter which takes out a video output by removing the noise generated from a light source, such as projection type display. CONSTITUTION:The light noise removing filter formed by successively laminating an n type doped semiconductor layer 12, an i type semiconductor quantum well layer or semiconductor well layer 10 and a p type doped semiconductor layer 11 on a substrate 13 is irradiated with the light input 20 contg. the noise emitted from a light source. The power of the photoluminescence light input 21 emitted from the semiconductor quantum well layer or semiconductor well layer 10 is extremely low when the light input power is low. A sharp increase in threshold value is observed with an increase in the light input power. The light of the noise level lower than the value 22 of the light input power with which a threshold behavior is admitted is cut and the video output light higher in intensity than the value remains. |
