TRAILER TOP DOOR ACTUATING MECHANISM A mechanism for opening and closing a pair of longitudinal top doors of a open top trailer, said doors rotatably attached along top edges of side walls, said doors opening and closing through rotation movement of substantially 270.degree., said mechanism generally instaled outside the cabside wall of the trailer, said mechanism comprising two mirror-image arrangements, one for each respective door, each said arrangement comprising a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, and an assembly of four rigid segments rotatably interconnected said assembly also connected to a hydraulic cylinder and to a respective door, said segment assembly having the function of transforming the linear stroke movement of the cylinder piston into a rotation movement of substantially 270.degree. so as to exact the needs of the door assembly.
