Waste water collected in basins at a vehicle washing assembly which with a flocking agent is compressed for sepn. and disposal of the sepd. liquid and filter cake. The whole contents of the collection basin are taken to fill a large tank on a vehicle mounting, with a flocking agent added to the water during tank filling. The water and flocking agent mixt. is homogenised in the tank and passed to a filter press on the same vehicle. The extracted liquid is returned to the emptied collection basin, and the filter cakes are collected on the vehicle to be taken to a rubbish dump.Also claimed is assembly with a large tank (13) on a vehicle (12) mounting, which also carries a hose (15) with a pump (14) for extn. of contents of the collection basins (2). The outlet (16) from the pump (14) leads to the upper side of the tank (13), together with a feed (17) for a flocking agent. The tank (13) has at least one stirrer (18). At least one filter press (20) is carried on the vehicle (12), linked to the tank (13) through a multistage pump (19), with an outlet connected to a return hose (22) to pass the filtered liquid back to the collection basins (2). The vehicle (12) has space to store (23) the compressed filter cakes.
