The hot water supply system has at least a second heat exchanger (13) provided in the supply line (4) of the mains (1), for cooling the water flowing to the mains. The cooler side of the heat exchanger is arranged for the supply with cooling medium in a supply line (6) of the supplying fresh water. A central control unit (29) is provided for valve and temp. control.Also/or a third heat exchanger (14) is provided, the cooler side of which is arranged in the return line (5) from the mains (1). The second (13) or the third heat exchanger (14) have a bypass line (20, 21) on the supply side (4) to the mains (1), in which a valve (22) is arranged.
