The method and apparatus includes the steps of measuring the conveyance distance of the front end of the sheath of a hose, checking the weaving state of the upper and lower surfaces of the sheath, stopping the rotation of a second winding shaft when the hose is wound to the second winding shaft after a first winding shaft, and cutting the sheath by a heat transfer cutter when the sheath is wound to the first winding shaft, thereby simplifying the checking and cutting of the sheath of a hose.
