PURPOSE:To provide inexpensively heat sensitive recording material which has constitution wherein an intermediate layer containing resin nonfoamable microscopic and hollow particles is provided between a substrate and a heat sensitive recording layer, on which the heat sensitive recording layer and further an over layer when need arises are provided and is made into high sensitivity and high precision. CONSTITUTION:In a heat sensitive recording material consisting mainly of leuco dyes and a developer allowing the leuco dyes to develop a color at the time of heating, an intermediate layer for which nonfoamable microscopic hollow body having an average particle diameter of 2-20mum, a degree of hollowness of at least 80%, preferably the average particle diameter of 3-10mum and the degree of hollowness of at least 90% is used is formed and surface smoothness of the heat sensitive recording material is made into Bekk of 300-1000sec. by low-pressure calender treatment and an over layer is provided on a heat sensitive color development layer whose surface is untreated and the Bekk smoothness of the surface of the over layer is made into 500-1,200sec. |
