PURPOSE:To obtain a composition excellent in weld mechanical characteristics and copper deposition resistance performance by blending a polyamide having a specific amino end group concentration with an organic halogen-based flame retardant, a flame retardant assistant, a copper compound, a filler, etc. CONSTITUTION:The composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. polyamide having <=60mg equiv./kg amino end group concentration (preferably nylon 66, etc.) with (B) 2-80 pts.wt. organic halogen-based flame retardant (preferably a brominated polystyrene, etc.) with 50-90wt.% halogen content, (C) 0-50 pts.wt. flame retardant assistant selected from antimony oxide, sodium antimonate, tin oxide, iron oxide, zinc oxide and zinc borate (preferably diantimony trioxide), (D) 0.001-1 pt.wt. copper compound (e.g. copper iodide), (E) 0-5 pts.wt. alkali halide (e.g. sodium iodide) and (F) <=250 pts.wt. filler (preferably glass fiber). Furthermore, the components (D) and (E) are preferably added to the component (A) before completing the polymerization thereof. |
