APPARATUS FOR PRODUCTION OF BENT SHEET GLASS

PURPOSE:To efficiently bend sheet glass in both of a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction by means of transporting beds which eject hot air in a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:The plural beds 2... bored with many hot air ejection holes atop these beds are arranged in the heating furnace 1 of a tunnel type from the upstream side toward the downstream side. The final bed 2a near the outlet 1a of the heating furnace 1 among these plural beds 2 is arranged to incline, by which the front surface thereof is formed to the shape uphill toward the outlet 1a of the heating furnace 1. In addition, the front surface of the final bed is curved in both of the direction orthogonal with the transporting direction of the sheet glass G and the direction along the transporting direction.
