<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a deinking agent capable of providing recycled pulp having high whiteness and a small amount of remaining ink, containing a specific component prepared by adding an alkylene oxide to a reaction product of an amine and a fatty acid, etc., treating the addition product with a quaternizing agent. CONSTITUTION:A deinking agent for recycling old paper contains a component which is obtained by adding (C) an alkylene oxide to a reaction product of (A) an amine containing at least two active hydrogen atoms in the molecule and (B) a fatty acid and/or a fatty acid alkyl ester to give an addition product, treating the prepared adduct with 0.1-0.9 quaternizing agent (1-18C alkyl halide) based on 1mol of the component A. 0.2-1.0wt.% of the deinking agent for recycling old paper based on old paper of substratum is preferably added to an old paper macerating process.</p> |
