The sachet has wall panels (2,3) welded at their ends to define the sachet shape, with one end including a filling and discharge point.The sachet is formed by cutting off a length of tubular material, and inserting a one-piece pre-moulded filling unit (4) into one open end of the sleeve so defined. The filling unit includes preformed tubular projections (5,6) with apertures for filling with fluid and passage of a discharge needle, connected by a bridge portion (7). The ends of the sleeve are welded to define a closed volume, with the filling unit sealed within the weld line of its respective end. ADVANTAGE - Simplified assembly process, with improved strength and reduced risk of loss of sterility. |
