<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape form subsequently generating phenomena such as a flutter even through the large fluttering was once generated in the tape at the time of fast-forwarding and rewinding. CONSTITUTION:A VTR device 1 is provided with reel motors 8a, 8b rotationally driving a pair of tape reels 4a, 4b wound with the magnetic tape 3 and a reel motor control part 9 setting a running speed of the magnetic tape 3 to a prescribed high speed by controlling the rotational driving of these reel motors 8a, 8b. A tension detecting part 20 normally detecting a voltage signal 22a which shows the tension of the running magnetic tape 3 in voltage, and a discrimination part 30 discriminating whether the variation in tension of the magnetic tape 3 is within the allowable range or not, basing on the voltage signal 22a are also provided. When the variation in tension of the magnetic tape 3 is discriminated as to be beyond an allowable range, the reel motors 8a, 8b are controlled by the reel motor control part 9 so that the running speed of the magnetic tape 3 is reduced.</p> |
