PURPOSE:To obtain the diversity receiving device which prolongs the life of a battery by reducing its current consumption. CONSTITUTION:Two switches 5a and 5b are provided between the power source 6 and 1st and 2nd receiving circuits 3 and 4. In incoming signal wait mode, only one of the switches 5a and 5b is turned ON and OFF intermittently with the control signal from a CPU 11. Consequently, the current consumption of the battery 6 is reduced and its life is prolonged. When the device is in bad reception environment or when an incoming number is different by less than the specific number of digits, said switches 5a and 5b are both turned ON for switching to diversity reception, so the success rate of termination is improved. |
