PURPOSE:To provide a tension generating apparatus capable of control on minute tension and easy to change the setting of tension. CONSTITUTION:A tension generating apparatus comprises a wire nip 13 for nipping a wire 10, an adjustable speed motor 14 for taking out the wire 10 after the wire 10 passes the wire nip 13, a torque motor 16 that develops constant torque, a tension arm 18 mounted on an axle of the torque motor 16 or an axle interlocked with this axle and delivers tension to the wire 10 with constant torque, and an angular detector 17 for detecting a rotation angle of the tension arm 18. |
