Electrical conductivity sensor incorporating function testing

The conductivity sensor has four linear electrodes (A, M, N, B) arranged symmetrical to a central point.Two outer electrodes (A,B) are used for the supply current and two inner electrodes (M, N) for detecting the electrical field resulting from this current. The electrodes are spherical, and the outer electrodes are spaced by between 15 and 60 cm.The ratio of the electrode spacings to the electrode dia. is between 4.5 and 10. The spacings between all the adjacent electrodes are pref. the same, e.g. 10 cm plus or minus 1 cm. The dia. of all electrodes is between 1.8 and 2.2 cm.
