Near the top edge of the backrest or armrest, the unit is moveable on an axle (7) positioned on a frame (6) protruding from the chest (5). A raising mechanism (8) touches the backrest or armrest (3,4) on one side and the back of the chest on the other side.The raising mechanism is positioned in the centre of a transverse support (9) at the back of the chest and is in the form of a gas-operated spring (8). The mechanism may alternatively be two pivotally attached arms, one attached to the unit and the other attached to the chest.
