sensing a document size when a document size detecting sensor consisting of luminous elements and light receiving elements is turned on or off by a corresponding document size and storing the document size in a state storage; demodulating data of a recording document size of a receiving side; reducing data read through an image reader at the rate of the recording document size of the receiving side, modulating the data and transmitting the data through an interface; and turing off the luminous elements and the light receiving elements, thereby avoiding waste of power consumption.
