The apparatus is for smooth turning of the pickup of a multi-disc player using a wheel wire to lightening the player. The apparatus reduces the power consumption of turning motor. It includes of a pair of brackets (101)(102) comprising two guide devices (105)(106) and a guide groove (104), a pickup (100) comprising a pair of guide rollers (103) and a spring rack (111), a pair of wheels (108) and a driving gear (109) for sliding and turning of the pickup, a wire (110) for connection of the wheels and the driving gear, a motor (114) for sliding and turning of the pickup through a worm gear (113) and the driving gear.
